I’m very lucky in that I work with incredibly intelligent people. In fact, I regularly feel like I am the least intelligent one in the room. And I’m not ashamed of that.
Today I had the opportunity to meet with a number of members of our consulting team. During our meetings we tend to engage in conversations about scholarly articles, consider what is working (and what isn’t) in education today, share out happenings from the state, and plan for additional ways we can support our districts, both regionally and in their schools.
I often leave these meetings feeling as if I have learned so much, and that I am extremely lucky to be included in such a meeting of the minds.
I never feel bad for knowing the least of all who are present; I simply see it as an opportunity to learn from each and every one of them.
I’m lucky and honored to work for an organization and to work in a region where there is so much talent. I’m thankful that I have the opportunity to build my own capacity from the giving nature of all those who I work with!
